On January 28, 2023, the Piper school district Robotics Team won the Kansas City FIRST® LEGO® League Robotics Regional Championship and advanced to the world championship, to be hosted in Houston, Texas, in April. The Kansas City FIRST® LEGO® League consists of over 130 teams from across the metro.
