    Mr. Jason Malaschak

Piper Prairie Elementary Assistant Principal & District Data Coordinator

Hello, Piper Nation!  This is my 24th year in education.  I graduated from Emporia State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Mathematics which included five semesters in elementary education and three years playing on the ESU hockey team.  I spent 14 years in the classroom serving as a mathematics teacher at Emporia High School in Emporia, KS.  During that time, I taught everything from Basic Math to Trigonometry.  I also served as an Administrative Intern as well as Head Coach of the girls' soccer team.  I earned my Masters in Education Administration from Emporia State in 2005.

In 2011, I moved my family to Piper to be the Assistant Principal at Piper High School.  After four years, I became principal of PHS.  I am now very proud to move my career full circle back into elementary education here at Piper Prairie Elementary School while also serving as the District Data Coordinator for Piper.  I am very excited to work in this great school with the best teachers, staff, and students in the state!

My family consists of LeAnn, my wife of 22 years, and my three sons, Asher, Jonah, and Silas, all attending school in Piper.  When I'm not at school, I am usually with my family at soccer practice, on the golf course, or at Sporting Kansas City games.  Go SKC!
