The Strategic Framework: Goal 2 – Connected Culture Among ALL focuses on fostering a unified and inclusive community within the Piper School District. This goal aims to empower staff, students, and community members by supporting social-emotional intelligence, cultural proficiency, and meaningful engagement. The framework prioritizes three key areas: Social-Emotional Learning, where students and staff develop self-awareness and interpersonal skills through targeted programs and goal-setting; Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access, ensuring a welcoming environment by implementing culturally responsive teaching and policies; and Stakeholder Engagement, encouraging collaboration among families, staff, and community members to support student success.
To achieve these outcomes, the district is implementing several initiatives. These include integrating a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support for social-emotional learning, facilitating community discussions on student well-being, and setting individualized goals for emotional growth. Additionally, the district is incorporating findings from an equity needs assessment into strategic planning, promoting inclusive training opportunities, and fostering a culture of connectedness. Stakeholder engagement efforts involve conducting a community-wide needs assessment, forming discussion groups to support decision-making, and partnering with the Piper Education Foundation to enhance student opportunities. These initiatives collectively aim to build a stronger, more inclusive, and future-ready school community.
